1. Bluetooth controllers first have to be paired. To do this navigate to options as shown in the picture below.
2. Enter the menu by pressing "A" and choose Bluetooth from the system configuration menu.
3. And now choose Pair and Connect to Bluetooth Device and follow the on screen instructions.
4. Once you have paired your controller you then can exit back to emulation station and map your controller by pressing Start and choosing "Configure Input".
Then you proceed and configure your controller as you did on first boot.
