Album of the Week: Self Titled by Your Arms Are My Cocoon

Second week, still skramz. Your Arms Are My Cocoon is a one piece bedroom pop/screamo fusion project from Chicago (originally Katy, Texas). YAAMC combines lofi instrumentation and warmth with familiar midwest emo and screamo songwriting to make something uniquely comforting and heartbreaking. As embarassing as it might be, this was the first album in years that got me to tear up.

As my boyfriend put it "I feel like my brain is taking a warm bath."

Next week, I'm debating between keeping my screamo streak up or branching out.

Write about one of a couple hardcore bands that I've been listening to lately
Write about something that someone suggests me
