/ / / A REPORTER FROM LAMESTREAM MEDIA SPEAKS DIRECTLY WITH MR IOLFREE ABOUT HIS GEMINI SITE. / / /
"I meet as arranged at iolfree's home. He sits in a dimly lit room in a haze of cigar smoke, becoming animated when he speaks about the gemini protocol. He is sort of tall and slim and wears dark glasses and a trilby."
IOLFREE : welcome to my humble abode !
REPORTER: This is a great honour. Tell me about gemini. Why would anyone want it?
IOLFREE : Look at what the web has become. It's degenerated. Gemini is wholesome.
REPORTER: it is quite bare and barren.
REPORTER: it is quite bare and barren.
IOLFREE : There are those who dislike luxury. You can imagine an early Christian colony on gemini seeking refuge ...Though I think it would be mostly programmers.
REPORTER: What happened to your plan to use .epistle instead of .gmi ?
IOLFREE : OH ! Not much escapes your attention. It worked alright but I couldn't have .gmi and .epistle - just one or the other.
REPORTER: Will you stick with the gmi suffix?
IOLFREE : Yes maybe or I may try to change to .gemini.
REPORTER: what about the proposed book, Gemini for Unix?
IOFREE : I have a mental image of it as a thick paperback with low effort artwork on the cover.
REPORTER: why don't you write it?
IOLFREE : I'd need a ghost writer. I might do it just as a web page.
I can't find much about Gemini on the web at the moment.
REPORTER: is there a danger that it might be too exclusive and might never catch on?
IOLFREE : I hope so. I want it to be largely underground.
REPORTER: Do you think your site will become a ghost site?
IOLFREE : It is always a possiblity. (CHECKS WATCH) OH ! And now your time is up. I hope we can continue this conversation in the coming weeks.
REPORTER: mr iolfree, thank you for your time. I'll see myself out.
IOLFREE : you are welcome and thank you.
