Dropped a butter knife on my laptop screen. Managed to make a small cut in the polarization film, so now I've got a white line in the middle of my screen. I wonder if it's possible to order the film only, or if I'm going to have to order a whole new screen? 🤔

@kelbot LOL. So, I'd set the laptop on the kitchen counter and then bumped the butter dish (which had a butter knife balanced on its edge) on the shelf above it. No buttering bread directly over the laptop here. 😛 · 6 months ago

From my time in repair shop you'll have to get new screen.
You probably *could* get film alone, but removing old and applying new one without damaging the screen would be either very hard or straight up impossible, especially without proper tools (hot air blower gun thingy). · 6 months ago
