It’s so weird to me that hospitals, banks, shops, and government agencies are popping up GDPR stuff.
If you are a trashy tabloid, you live on selling ads. But a book shop? I am already in here shopping for books, so calm your tits please.
It’s understandable that pre-GDPR, analytics mania had infected every single industry. But once GDPR struck upon them with great vengeance, and they found themselves having to choose between
1. sobering up and giving up tracking, and
2. blasting a huge “solve this three-hundred-step maze to visit our site” in the face of their own prospective consumers and citizens,
maybe they shouldn’t’ve gone with the latter.
