Monday, 28 Feb 2022 20:31

80 new jobs are to be created here by customer insights firm Gong.

The new roles will be in a range of areas including recruiting, engineering, marketing, sales, information security and customer success.

The San Francisco headquartered company recently opened a Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters in Dublin.

It said the expansion will serve its growing customer base and growing demand for its services across the EMEA region.

"Our focus on people is at the very heart of our business, as evidenced by Gong's numerous 'best workplace’ awards," said Wendy Harris, Vice President of EMEA, Gong.

"We are building a talented team in Dublin that will be responsible for spearheading Gong’s expansion across EMEA."

The company’s products are currently used by around 3,000 customers around the world.

300 of those are European based and include Teamwork and Wayflyer.

The news has been welcomed by the IDA, which supported the investment.

"Dublin is a leading destination city for fast-growing companies to set up their European HQ in order to internationalise their business," said Martin Shanahan the IDA’s CEO.

"Ireland has a proven track record of being a very attractive location to technology companies looking to access a well-established talent pool to scale quickly."

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar said the announcement once more underscores Ireland’s position as a global hub for leading technology firms seeking to grow and develop their operations.
