Within these pages we will navigate the sonic landscape together. Music is fascinating and weaving a tapestry of sound is an adventure that anyone can enjoy. Here I share my discoveries as they are made. I lay out a path that you can follow along with me. My instrument of choice is guitar, however, the principles that I discuss should apply equally to any Western instrument.
I am not a professional musician. I am a man who decided that his midlife crisis would be better invested in piano lessons and music theory than a tiny red convertible.
This is what makes this site interesting. When experts talk about a subject they tend to use confounding terminology and make assumptions. Here we are ordinary folk treading out into uncharted waters to see what kind of trouble we can get into. I'm betting we can do some pretty cool stuff.
