I've been watching Dr Who, the long running sci-fi series since I was in primary school. Sylvester McCoy was a great doctor and usually the first I think of. But the classic series doesn't seem to be on anywhere so a few months back I started watching Nu-Who, which is after an extended break of no Dr Who being made, starting from 2009. I'm currently onto series 11 which is from 2018, so still a little way to go.
I've enjoyed all the series so far, and each Doctor has been enjoyable. I was a little sceptical about Peter Capaldi but after a few episodes I began enjoying his portrayal. I was also a bit sceptical on Jodie Whittaker taking over as a female doctor, I felt it was just the BBC ticking the diversity boxes. But, after being slightly surprised on a Yorkshire accent, I'm so far satisfied that she was a good choice. I've also, generally, heard that Dr Who declines after Chris Chibnall takes over the writing etc. And that there is a particular episode that many fans feel is a specific indication of the beginning of the end for it. But we shall see.
