A small shock has been detected in Solar wind data at 8:38UT. Solar wind speed jumped from 330km/s to 370 km/s. The magnetic field magnitude jumped from 4 to 7 nT and has been elevated above 10nT. Bz recently attained a southward peak reaching -10nT.
Active geomagnetic conditions with potentially minor geomagnetic storms could occur as a result. The origin of the perturbation is currently unclear.
