A 19-year-old man has died in a motorcycle crash in Dublin city.
Gardaí say the man was seriously injured when his vehicle struck a lamp post as he was travelling on Sillogue Road in Ballymun this afternoon.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3.30pm.
The road is currently closed at the crash site to allow for a forensic examination. Local diversions are in place.
The man's body has been taken to the Dublin City Morgue.
Gardaí have appealed to any witnesses to the crash and anyone who may have relevant camera footage to contact gardaí.
