Five people have been injured in a multi-vehicle collision at Dublin Airport.
One person was transferred to Beaumont Hospital for treatment while the remaining four sustained minor injuries.
The incident happened last evening when a truck collided with a number of buses and cars and one taxi driver had to be cut from his vehicle.
Dublin Airport Fire and Police, Dublin Fire Brigade and emergency service personnel were in attendance.
Gardaà are investigating the cause of the collision and one of the lines of investigation is that it was caused by a medical emergency involving the driver of the truck.
A statement from the daa said: "A number of minor injuries were reported, none of which are life-threatening. Some of those injured have been brought to hospital."
The incident happened just after 7pm when it is understood a large truck collided with a number of vehicles on the Terminal 1 departures road.
The truck continued to travel down the road before coming to a stop at the Circle K garage.
The departures road and main exit at Dublin Airport were closed and diversions were in place but these have now ended.
In a statement, gardaà said: "At approximately 7.20pm this evening … a lorry struck a number of vehicles outside Terminal 1 and on the departure road of Dublin Airport.
"A number of cars were damaged and it is understood that a number of persons received minor injuries."
Flights to Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Birmingham, Chisinau (Moldova) and Iasi (Romania) were due to depart from the airport.
There were also planes arriving in from destinations including the North Pole, London, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Paris and Munich.
Aircoach said that some of its services might be delayed.
'I could see a big pile-up of cars'
Lauren Ashton was among the passengers affected by the diversions.
She flew in to Dublin Airport from Manchester with her mother to visit family in Co Wicklow for Christmas.

"We came out of the airport at Terminal 1 departures but were not allowed to leave - we were escorted back inside.
"The area was completely gridlocked."
Ms Ashton said they were left waiting almost an hour to be collected by a friend due to traffic delays around the airport.
"We walked down to Terminal 2 and saw more ambulances and garda cars there.
"There was a lot of confusion, but the gardaà were efficient at getting lanes open again."
