well yall, it happened. I had my starter in the fridge for ... about 4 months, and it got black, foul-smelling liquid on top, along with spots. So I had to throw it out :(
Here is the memorial for that starter. It made me some good bread.

Well, now I'm going to start a fresh starter. I'll write about my experience here.
I've added 100g rye flour to 125g water. I stirred them up and put the thing away. I'm checking on it again tomorrow at 4pm.
It's dark, because of the rye, and quite wet. Fingers crossed this works!
