for the past few days i've looked after a friends' cat. i've never done this before, and i've learned a few things.

• purring == good except sometimes it sounds menacing
• a little squeak means, "i'm hungry"
• oh my goodness her eyes
• yes to gentle head scratches, no to being picked up

• this cat is always hungry
