Heya. I've been exploring this new world for about a week already, but only now did I decide to start keeping a journal. I wonder why ink is so hard to come by?
It's been quite an adventure already, I've accomplished so many things. But rather than trying to remember every little detail, let's just start with what I did today, how's that?

I have acquired a donkey! Their name is Clover. They can carry twice the load of Chanteuse, despite being much shorter. I had to get very friendly with what's-his-face who operates the stables in Velia in order to get a saddle for Clover, too. I've not known Clover for a day, and yet they have already demonstrated to be a dependable and reliable friend. They've traveled between Velia and Olvia while carrying a very full load (including my body and all my gear) without a hitch. I think they're a great investment who can help me pursue my trading ambitions.
I had some free time in the early evening to relax and enjoy the sunset in Velia. I just really like being on the docks. Maybe I could captain my own ship, but that seems way far off.
Definitely the other major thing I accomplished today was defeating the violent Balenos bear! This bear had originally given me a LOT of trouble... I was scratched up very, very badly before. But now that I have a better handle on my crescent pendulum and my sword, I have emerged victorious! May this good fortune continue to smile down upon me.
