Diving into the gopher hole

So I've been delving backwards, like a lot of people I think, from http to gemini and now to gopher. I'm putting together my own daily diary gopherhole hosted at rawtext

but one of the main things I'm wondering is, well, who to follow? I've found some people who clearly mirror their gopher and their gemini presences. I've found some people on rawtext who have gopherholes and some other tildes that have indexes.

Also, ~knat from rawtext shared with me this site that's some kind of a feed aggregator for gopher

But what else is there? Are there particularly interesting gopherholes that people like?

Also, what's the best option for someone who wants to try having their own gopherhole but who isn't already on a tilde/pubnix? I was thinking that SDF would be pretty accessible but I'm curious if there's other options people like for free hosting.
