the show I see, not made for me
I don’t belong, not the traveling kind
once I struck out for the open road
buena vistas no more
flying so blind while we float down the stream
deep in the valley with shadows and dreams
shadows and dreams
things fall apart, even at home
leaks, cracks and worries, dry rot and pain
with each repair, a new break appears
can’t clean the rust off my fears
in the shadows beats a song
I want the music, want to be strong
feel the fadeout in my bones
don’t even answer the phone
beautiful view if you know where to look
here in the valley with shadows and dreams
wading through memories, float past the fears
