A few months ago my house had an electrical fire. It was an older house that had a addition that used to be a sun room. The wiring in the house was a smashed up mess of knob and tube, romex, and everything from 1920 to current all running together. We had a flood light that the wires internally had high resistance. My wife, my dog and myself are all ok and were not affected by the fire.
Dealing with insurance is not too bad so far, just the hassle of waiting on checks to be cut, the mail to arrive and the checks to post.
As of this update, we have the foundation of a roof! I am not a woodworker or a construction type, but i can understand the concepts if explained to me and I had nothing but confusion until my general contractor explained everything to me. The process is going well, just taking some time. Next Update soon!
