Hello!
Having lurked in the Gemini space for some time now, I'm finally participating.
I've been on-and-off keeping a blog that shares some of the values of Gemini: no ads or tracking, lightweight content, nostalgia for the early web, etc. But it feels like those sorts of sites are tiny islands in the giant sea of the modern, vapid, toxic web.

I'm hoping smol.pub and Gemini provide more of a sense of community. I happily paid for a smol.pub license key so I won't have to bother with setting up a server. (I enjoy that sort of tinkering, but I'd rather spend my scant free time writing.)
