Why doesn't gemini use ssh as the transport layer encryption and identitiy management? There are so many advantages that come to mind. SSH keys can be used for identity and trust using established mechanisms, which is already well established. No more certificate expiry concerns. Scripted access to gemini servers using standard ssh clients.
