Baconfest

Today is baconfest in my college town. It's an event where people get together and literally turn everything they want into bacon. I'm excited for it. My wife, and a couple of my friends, are going disc golfing before we go to baconfest so we can at least try and make room for all the grease we will consoom. I will update you all when I get back!

9/11 20 years later

I was barely able to walk when 9/11 happened. I wasn't at that age where it hits you hard to see it happen. However, with the recent events happening in Afghanistan I have felt a sense of ergency to stand for my country. I want to help defend the people I love and the country I love as well. I am a cyber security student who has a knack for programming and I want to use that for the benefit of not just my country, but those who are innocent, oppressed, and enslaved to tyranny. So, yeah. Today has been making me reflect on that a little bit more. Please say a prayer today for all those families that were affected. And for the people in Afghanistan. And take a moment today to reflect for yourself.

Update on Baconfest

YUM

Baconfest was honestly such a fun time! Our downtown was blocked off and there was a lot of booths set up (a lot of them selling food). We stopped by one of our favorite local businesses who makes healthy food that is easy to prepare. She had a few different options for Bacon Mac&Cheese which was super yummy! So, we all grabbed some of that and went and ate at a local coffee shop that we like. They had great boba lemonade.

After that we just wondered around and looked at all the booths they had set up. Eventually I got Spicy Bacon popcorn which was really good. I also got a snow cone that I polished off in no time. Overall, this was a really fun event. I'm glad my small town throws huge events like this because it helps bring the community togehter.

Cyber Problems

I'm taking a course this semester for my Master's degree that requires us to do a research paper. We have to state and identify a problem we see in Cyber Security and propose a solution. However, I am not very creative and don't really know what I should do mine on. I was considering talking about how harvesting user data has been ruining mankind. Targeted ads are probably the worst thing to hit the internet. They keep you looking on your phone and they keep you buying all these things that pop up. And then more and more just keep popping up. That's why I like Gemini. Because we give out as much information about ourselves as we want, and we aren't harvesting user data. So yeah... I don't know what I want to do for my research project :(
