Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes seized in Dublin, Rosslare

Over 8.6kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of more than €173,000 has been seized in Dublin.
Revenue officers, with the assistance of detector dog Bailey, made the discovery after examining parcels at a premises in Dublin yesterday.
The drugs were found in a number of parcels that originated in the United States, Canada and Spain.
They were declared as items such as 'coffee', 'clothes samples' and 'custom decals'.
The parcels were destined for addresses in Dublin and Cork.
Separately last week, as a result of routine profiling Revenue officers seized approximately 11,660 'L&M' branded cigarettes, 20 litres of spirits, and almost 224 litres of beer at Rosslare Europort.
The seized goods have a combined retail value of over €10,200, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of more than €7,700.
The smuggled cigarettes and alcohol were discovered with the assistance of detector dog Gus and Revenue's mobile x-ray scanner.
Revenue officers has stopped and searched an Irish registered vehicle that had disembarked a ferry from Cherbourg, France.
A Polish national in his 40s was questioned and investigations are ongoing.
