Depression and the number of rooms
This struck a chord with me having spent most of the last 18 months in one room, and having ventured out a bit more recently. Maybe it's related to spoon theory: maybe a bit of novelty gives you a spoon back?
My capsule log includes IP addresses. That info isn't included on my stats page, and I don't have any use for it other that to estimate how many "people who are not me" have looked at my stuff. The current number is 747. It's only a guesstimate, because some hits are from automated processes (feed aggragators, etc) and one IP doesn't relate directly to one person.
Fun fact: it looks like 29% of the addresses are IPv6. Not sure what the significance of that is.
The grass in my garden decided it was time to produce seeds, so a forest of seed heads appeared. I haven't mown it for ages. The grass stems aren't so long, but the seed heads are up to about kneee high.
I wanted it to look a bit less unkempt, but I also quite like the slightly wild look. So I mowed a circle in the middle where we've had the table for eating outdoors, and paths from there to other places you might walk. To get to the bottom of the garden there's a wiggly path, and I sort of wish I'd done the others like that.
One benefit of this is that I'm not massacring the little blue flowers that grow in the grass. No idea what they are, but they usually just disappear into the mower. I'm happier leaving them to do their thing.
