The Electric Bass Companion

Version 2.0
(c) 1995, Webb Pickersgill

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

This program was originally written in order to help young bassists to
learn the notes of the bass. Options such as custom tunings, fingerings,
and tonalities, which are new to version 2.0, can benefit even the
professional. The main display of the program is a Bass fingerboard.
You can select any combination of Tonality, Tuning, and Key, and then
view where the notes are on the fingerboard (Note names, fingerings,
or scale steps).

This program requires Microsoft Windows 3.1 or Windows95 and the
following files to run which are included:
VBRUN300.DLL (Put in Windows Directory)
THREED.VBX (Put in Windows Directory)

Future Versions:

I haven't yet gotten response for it, but as long as I do, I will support 5
and six string basses. I would also like to include an option in the next
version to view the notes in standard musical notation. I would also like
to include the ability to create TAB transcriptions from clicking on the
fretboard. Let me know how you feel about these ideas.

Registration:

This program is Shareware but REQUIRES a payment of $10 after 30 days
of regular use. When you send $10, you will receive a password that will
enable you to "register" your program. Registration enables the PRINT
features of the program. Registering not only allows you to print, it also
puts you on my "registered 2.0" list, and entitles you to be one of the first
to get the newest bass programs I have written as soon as they are made
available. Registering also enables you to discounted upgrades and special
offers. Please register your program so that you can gain all of these benefits.
