There was talk on the #gemini IRC channel about serving HTML over the protocol. I wont go into the details, but it inspired me to write a capsule for a proof of concept.

A good HTML version candidate for forking is hard to find but I ended up with HTML 4.01 Strict. Several things will be dropped and some things will be imported from XHTML and future versions of HTML.
