The new new thing is Gemini protocol. The new new thing within the new new thing is setting up a personal Minilog.
It seems that it's becoming a standard. If you hate Twitter, but in the deep of you heart you miss it, you can use the bash script "lace" to subscribe and read to many Minilogs. Here's the Gemini page that explains where to find and how to use it:
