What is gemini?

If you're viewing this on the web, you may not know about gemini. Gemini is an experimental protocol for serving text-based content. You can think of it as a very stripped-back version of the web. It supports links and text, and not much else. Gemini is focused on privacy, security, and software minimalism. I am bihosting the content from this site over both http and gemini.
