Day 47 - Crying and crying and crying

The night was OK and the day was even better. And also worse. We skipped

breakfast and had only lunch, not because we wanted to, but because we left the

house at 1pm!

We then embarked on the hour long walk to the Macarella beach which proved to be

a great idea. The subject was calm the entire way as I carried her on the

backpack. It's a beautiful corner of this earth and we're very lucky we can

enjoy it. The water was cold put we put our feet AND the subject's feet on the

water. First time! She didn't seem to like it a lot...

Then we had a sandwich and a Pomada Slushie at the bar. Then I went to change

Sol and she began crying. Crying and crying and wouldn't stop. Nothing, not

holding, not hugging, not walking, not rocking her, not even feeding her... and

if that doesn't work, than nothing does. Eventually she calmed down and we began

the walk back.

We had to go to the store and again she started inconsolable crying. Poor girl,

what must be going on? We can't bear this. We don't know what to do, how to act,

how to be. Because we needed to buy foodstuffs, F went in while Sol bawled in

anguish and I wasn't able to console her. Eventually I understood somewhat that

this is colics. It doesn't take a genius, but folding her legs on her belly

would slightly calm the subject down. In the end, I forced her legs to be

completely folded in and we were able to walk back to the lodge.

At the house, again the same, but she slightly calmed down while feeding her.

For a while; then again, uncontrollable bawl. We bathed her. It seems to have

calmed her a bit and we were able to eat and sleep.

This was really difficult, but hey, we signed up for this, so let's keep our

heads up.
