Reboot

I want to write to my Gemini capsule more, though I'm not really good at journaling or anything like that. I tend to write lengthy posts in some kind of an article format, which is fine when the topic calls for it, but doesn't really lend itself to the type of personal output I'd like to broadcast on Gemini space. When I read others' gemlogs, I tend to enjoy the personal and intimate. Also shorter and more frequent updates seem to feel good for the rhythm to which I like to use Gemini.

In other words, instead of lengthy essays, I find the "social" approach to be more suitable. Not the extreme brevity that defines "social media" like Twitter of even Facebook, but something more like a letter to a friend.

I do love putting into my audio gemcast as well, but the Gemini protocol is grounded in the written word, and sometimes a short note here and there is a good complement to a longer, spoken conversation.

Until now I was using the Logarion utility by orbifox to publish the same content across multiple formats, first HTML and then Gemini later when it was added. The thing is, I like the idea of my Gemini capsule being more, well, encapsulated. A cozier space with a more limited readership, where I can write about more personal things without blasting them onto the WWW to get picked up by Google or who knows what.

What I've decided to do is split my Logarion in two, so that one is Gemini-exclusive and the other goes onto my website:

https://kwiecien.us

All the previous posts I had here in Gemini can still be found there, but now I'm writing just for Gemini here. If needed I may post something to both, but I expect the content to be different and separate. I even considered doing away with HTTP altogether, but that can wait for another time!
