After nearly 50 years, the Veritable Quandary restaurant will close as Multnomah County prepares to build its new courthouse. The county will purchase the site and remove the restaurant building to make way for its new central courthouse project. The project is set to break ground in late 2016. I was a regular lunch patron at the VQ when I worked blocks away downtown. I would also drift over that way mid afternoon when I had 10 inch high stacks of OOPSLA papers to review. Ten years later I dropped in for lunch with friends and was delighted to be remembered by the staff.
