I never played video games when I was a kid. When I finally had a chance to play them late into my teens, I realized I couldn't play them for more than half an hour.
Recently I tried to play some games in my free time. I can't get past the 30 minute mark without physically feeling sick. It's awful. I feel nauseated and I need a quick distraction before it hits really bad.
Speaking of video games, I tried Watch Dogs 2. It is the worst game I've ever played. The game is poorly optimized. It makes my laptop shit itself. A lot of stuttering and skipped frames while driving cars. The sounds are awful. The music sucks. GTA San Andreas which was released a billion years ago, plays better than this load of shit. GTA V is ten quintillion times better than Watch Dogs. Oh, and they released Watch Dogs Legion this year? I bet a hundred bucks it's as shitty, if not worse, than Watch Dogs 2.
I like games like GTA. There's a load of stuff to do. I can move around, hijack vehicles, fly planes, drive a tank, travel around and cause chaos and havoc. I don't do missions. I never had the patience to follow in-game instructions when there was a whole world out there, waiting to be explored.
Does anyone remember Gameloft's Gangstar: Crime City game for mobile phones? This was waaaaay before Android and iOS smartphones took over. I spent hundreds of hours playing that game on my Nokia phone. It never got old. I'd play that game until it drained my battery completely! Then there was Gangstar 2: Kings of LA. I think it was the last game I played on my phone. There have been other releases of the game since then. I've never tried them. I don't wish to try them. Fuck 'em!
I want a Nokia with Gangstar: Crime City installed in it. That's my perfect game. Another favorite of mine, back from 2007, was Splinter Cell Double Agent. I spent so many hours playing that game at the back of the classroom, along with Asphalt 3: Street Rules (Gameloft).
Now I look at all these new games and I don't even feel like trying them out. The only game I'm willing to try now is the next release of GTA. Until then, fuck all video games. They all suck!
