Two arrested over shots fired at garda car in Tallaght

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Tallaght in July in which shots were fired at a garda patrol car.
The men, both in their 20s, were arrested this morning, and are currently being held at Tallaght Garda Station.
The incident happened shortly after 2.30am in the Rossfield Avenue area on 24 July.
A marked garda patrol car with unarmed uniformed gardaí was patrolling the area, and came across three males, one of whom had a handgun, with another holding a baseball bat.
The male with the handgun fired a number of shots at the garda car, one of which struck the vehicle, before all three fled the scene.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
