The deck is complete. I compiled enough cards that I abandoned my archidekt and just built a deck out of what I had. Tried it out later that weekend, came out super hot in game 1, but ended up losing. In game 2(a 3-player game), the same thing happened, but this time I just cast through my hand. Needs more card draw. I've helped myself to some more cards since, so stay tuned for some more results

Bought a bunch of cards at the card shop today. Copper, iron, silver, and palladium myrs will be great mana dork that I'll be able to cast for free. Ancient Stone Idol and a bunch of big eldrazis will be big swingers in this deck. Beast Whisperer and Deepfathom Skulker will be good at keeping my hand full, but I'll need some more draw to stay ahead early.

Both last & to night I worked on stuffing this archideckt with mana dorks and big colorless creatures. I've been thinking that if I play a lot of draw effects and colorless creatures, there should be a turn that I can cast a free 5-mana creature, then a free 6-mana creature, then a 7- and so on. Free stuff is a lot of power, but it may be hard to keep my hand full enough to pull off that big turn. I guess that's the goal starting now- balance free stuff and draw so I can do the "ramp-off turn" as soon as possible.

Today I've decided to make two decks out of the ideas I had for Animar. This one will use my most recent idea: using mana dorks and colorless creatures to ramp into big free eldrazis or something. The other will use the original idea: creature-heavy elemental tribal stuff, but I'll build it around both Animar and Omnath, Locus of the Roil as Commanders. Bye for now

I started out with this one really wanting to do something different. I really wanted to make it an Elemental tribal deck. However, I've run into a problem with that- Elementals just... aren't very cohesive or good. Cards I was finding just kept wanting to pull me toward another synergy, whether it be Landfall, +1/+1 counters, or "creature ramping" into free colorless boss monsters. Finally reaching the turning point now, where I'm scrapping the original idea for one or two of these new ones. I had the same problem in the Korvold deck, where I was stuck on a Landfall aspect that didn't need to be there at all. That's all on this for now, wish me luck
