Wow, this whole freenode thing seems be really blowing up. I wonder what will come out of this. Will many FOSS projects abandon the platform? What will they choose as their preferred chat technology? Will it be proprietary (e.g. Discord/Slack) or will it be FOSS, such as Matrix?
