Joining a pubnix

I decided some time ago to join a pubnix and I'll share my experience here, I eventually ended up at envs.net[1].

Opinions

It's interesting. I am ssh'd into my envs account on my second monitor and the default setup is nice, maybe a bit overwhelming. It uses byobu as a terminal, it autolaunches with the login but you can turn that off. It uses weechat as the irc client and neomutt as the mail client. It uses bash by default but you can also change that. I can use amfora and browse the geminispace from there. This is really useful for me since alot of domains are blocked by firewall on the network and I can't fix that. envs serves as a sort of proxy for this and it works fine.

note: Parts of the province was flooding during the writing of this glog / gemlog thing[2]
