I don't aim for a particular length when I write entries in my log. Sometimes I find myself writing several paragraphs, and sometimes I only have a few words to say in the moment. I am also not a very articulate writer; I often have more thoughts on a subject than what ends up being published, but I struggle to find the right words with which to express them.
One difficulty I encounter quite frequently is with related thoughts. I mostly try to encapsulate one general thought or subject matter in my entries. However, as I begin to write, I realize I have several thoughts about several related--but not identical--topics. Limiting the scope of a discussion is hard, and it's the primary reason why my discourse is often truncated.
I admire the prose I see in many logs across Geminispace. I regularly peruse Antenna, CAPCOM and other aggregators, and I wish I could express myself as clearly and concisely as others do. I often wonder how other Gemini users, and writers in general, decide what to include or exclude from their work.
