Another community I found was called "cosmic voyage". The title seemed interesting, but just from that I didn't know what to expect from it. When I clicked on it and looked through, I found out that it was a collaborative science fiction universe where users write their own stories and add to it. There was a list of ships and outposts in this sci-fi universe, a complete transmission log, and a list of the 20 most recent log entries. The description of the community gives a summary of what these stories are mainly about / the rules of the world that they take place in. I read some of the stories that people wrote in this community. There was one that was in the style of a report from an officer to their captain about having to flee a sand storm on Mars. Another story posted in this community was a regular first person story about a guy trying to sell someone clone insurance. Yet another story was an update transmission from someone on a space cruiser to their boss about how things were going on the settlement they were creating and how one of their old friends was able to get a ship and was coming to join them. This was a really cool community; people were collaborating on a fictional universe together by all contributing their own little pieces of it and not necessarily having any communication with each other or overarching story plots. I would love to join a community like this and participate in writing short stories.
