I'd recommend replacing the Keurig with a Juicero. Healthier and provides a similar pro-DRM experience that op has grown fond of.

It’s just so ridiculous. However I’m way outside the target audience. I don’t get pod coffee, let alone DRM pod coffee.

Does it also make tons of plastic waste?

Or maybe one can get an electric kettle, a mug, and a proper tea bag? I’m sorry, but the frustration exhibited in that Reddit post is as idiotic as the machine’s DRM.

The quality is also much better for tea brewed properly. These machines are terrible at making both coffee and tea, while being horrible for the environment to boot. I realize not everyone does WFH though where you can grind your own fresh beans and use the best methods.

Isn't it possible to stick a label off of a used "pod" into the receptacle, making it think it's brewing "Keurig(tm)(r) Colombian Experience" instead of "Kirkland Signature Breakfast Blend" pods?

I don't use these machines since it's usually easier to just percolate a carafe of coffee since everyone at the office drinks the same coffee anyways.
