I seem to remember something about WSPRNet posted on HN many months ago, and the consensus then seemed to be that it was junk science. Has anything changed since then?
Edit: Ah, here it is:

I'm not an expert, maybe he knows what he's talking about with this signals around the world talk, but my gut feeling is, there won't be anything at the spot he's predicted. It feels like "The Bible Code"[1], finding data in noise. Not that I even saw his data/noise, but it's still my gut feeling.

I hope we can still get data out of the black boxes if they can be found. It's important to know if this was a technical issue or some other cause. Although I don't know if Boeing could handle another technical fault if it turns out it was another "known" issue.
I thought it was pretty clear the pilot had some pretty major issues.
- Flight simulator data from his home computer matched pretty closely the doomed plane took when it went off course (covered up by ATSB of course).

- His wife and kids had just moved out, marriage was in trouble?
- Some kind of call just before flight from a number purchased with fake ID docs?
The recorders only kept the last couple of hours as far as I remember and it flew for many hours after going off course.. there's probably nothing interesting on them sadly
