Lately there has been a lot of discussion about Gemini itself. Maybe too much focus has been put on Gemini when the whole point of Gemini is to be thin and out of the way so that we can focus on content (reading and writing it). The point of Gemini is not Gemini.
Someone told me that Gemini is basically only useful as a blogging platform. I kind of understand that, because in practice that's what I use it for, and that seemed like the most obvious thing to do. However, the project needs to be so much more than that.
I think we need to redouble our efforts of finding new ways to push the boundaries of what Gemini can do *within the given limitations of it*. That's what the whole creative aspect is all about. Gemini needs all kinds of sites and services, and it already has many. Hopefully there are many more yet to come.
