Fall Sickness

I don’t so much mind
  the first congestion,
mild as it is---

the undeniable is
  confirmed
there is no option
other than surrender outright

such is the weather
  when you aren’t
so sure
the minutes are written

indelibly smitten
  to attenuate
the ache of having

to wander still
but loving to.

Ha! The autumn sense of things…
