I’ve been using snake_case and hyphen-case kind of inconsistently for filenames and URIs over the years. That has been a constant case of mistyping and confusion, for me more than for anyone else. I’m not gonna go back and fix, but from now on my policy is going to be hyphen-case if there is one “part”. If there are multiple parts, like artist → image, the parts are going to be snake_case and they are going to be separated by hyphens.
If the files are in different folders such that the part are separated by slashes, that’s gonna mean hyphen-case. So canned-heat/on-the-road-again ↔ canned_heat-on_the_road_again
I get that it’s going to be annoying (for myself) to sometimes have parts be hyphen-case and sometimes snake_case depending on if there is multiple parts or not, but this is for purps of being as consistent as I can with my past wildly inconsistent use of sometimes snake_case, sometimes hyphen-case. There are still gonna be some old files that break this newly minted convention but enh. Ever onward♥
