Interesting case.
"Don't be evil" as a condition of employment the employee is required to sign, makes is part of the contract. I thought "Don't be evil" was just a general non-actionable inspirational BS phrase.
"Don't be evil" is more general than bad corporate governance, or fiduciary negligence, or law violation.

If company really want's to commit into ethical behavior, they should do what Google did but be more specific.
Bind the company into ethical norms legally, and use arbitration where arbitrators are selected by some outside organizations specializing in those ethical issues.
Not to be confused with IBM's approach of aquiring a license for evil.

That they unironically call themselves Googlers is pretty creepy actually.
(My browser doesn't recognize the word "unironically" and wants to replace it with moronically. AI has gone too far...)
It's worse than that. For many years, "Googly" has been in use as an adjective to describe culturally appropriate behavior at Google. I cringed in disbelief that anyone could use that term unironically every time I heard it, and sometimes that was multiple times a day.

New term, thanks. This one is useful.
