     Ever since computers have been around there were viruses.  A virus is
     a small program that infects all sorts of computer files.  The virus is
     passed by putting copies of itself in other files.  The virus is then
     usualy executed when that file is loaded into memory, and it spreads &
     spreads and so forth.  Viruses are made by people and are usually made
     for damaging your computer system.  Eventhough there are viruses that
     don't do damage and there sole purpose in life is to spread, they can
     get anoying.  An example of a virus that doesn't do damage but pisses
     you off if you do a virus check expecial with Microsoft Anti-Virus (
     which sucks) is the tai-pan virus.  This virus goes and infects .exe
     files under 64k and spreads through out you pc system.

     There are different forms of viruses, and a popular one is a Trojan
     Horse.  A Trojan Horse is by definition is a destructive program disguised

     as a game, util,or an application.  When this "application" or "game' is
     ran a Trojan horse will do something to mess your system up while you
     think it is running a game or doing something useful.

     Another really nasty virus type is called a worm its a virus that breeds
     itself accross computers usually by copying itself in each computers
     memory.  If a worm begins to duplicate itself so often in a system it
     may cause the system to crash.

     There are many forms of viruses boot viruses, file viruses, and the one
     you all ready know about the Trojan virus.. A random example of a file
     virus is the Friday the 13th virus, this virus infects .com and .exe
     files and is 1808 bytes long and changes the system run time and also
     corrupts programing.  An example of a boot virus is the Big Italion.
     This virus is 1024 bytes long and infects the boot sectors of disks and
     hard drives.  It also remains resident in memory.

     Now basic virus protection can be uptained by the standard Microsoft
     Anti-Virus that comes with DOS, but it isn't that good. One thing about
     viruses is that new ones come out daily thousand and thousands a month.
     A virus can not affect you hard drive in code form nor in exe form but
     if the infected exe file is executed it will infect your hard drive. A
     virus can also be contained in a zip file.Well anyway like I was sayin
     MSAV sucks so get somethin else anything else that is released on a
     regular basis.

     Many people collect viruses and many make them.. I myself have a virus
     collection and I think it is great to collect viruses.  It is a good
     way to get even with someone (heheh).  If yah fool with viruses be
     prepared your own may turn on you...

     Since this is my first work I through a little help out to all you
     learning hackers and virii people by containing a list of acronyms
     in acro.com designed by me with the help of Mulder.. I am a firm
     supporter to ThE X-Philez BBS and all H/P/A/V people..
