Welcome to the seminal issue of The Stellar Spotlight! This is a magazine all about the newest writing in Gemini. The only rules are that it can't be TOO mean spirited, and it needs to be decently new. This is one is kind of a dummy issue, which is why you can see it even though it's not Aug 24th yet. I'm trying out formatting and features.
The first serial story I've found on gemini. It centers around a good-hearted necromancer making ends meet in a world that hates them, and all the creatures they tend to associate with. Instead of leasing armies of the dead to warlords, they push deals at a pawn shop. Things pick up when they come into the posession of highly illegal necromancy books found locked inside a customer's junk.
Conflict of interest alert, I'm featuring myself! Just try to stop me! Nobody will even see this!
An interesting summary/analysis of a book I haven't read, but zampano was able to put some very complete thoughts forward that stand alone. This gemfile discusses the thinking (or lack thereof) that went into dropping nukes on Japan. Nice to read even if you usually dread WW2-related online content.
