A garden update today, the callistemon in the front garden is still flowering and there's a constant coming and going of wattlebirds; mostly Red wattlebirds[1] today in ones and twos, bouncing around and seeming too big for the way they behave. The branches wobble and sway and occasionally the birds seem to simply fall off a branch or out of the tree, but catch themselves and fly back and around, yelling loudly. Later in the day a group of Rainbow lorikeets[2] arrived, equally loud, shrieking with whatever meaning it has. The ground underneath is littered with bits of the flowers that succumb to the birds, they'll still be here for another month or so.
