Following on from yesterday I thought I'd give a summary of what's in the garden at the moment — especially since I can't think of anything else interesting that's happened today wildlife-wise. I periodically see a Red wattlebird[1] fly up onto the neighbour's power line, then bounce wildly up and down looking as though it'll fall off any minute. The blackbirds[2] are calling loudly, and getting earlier and earlier as they do each year towards the start of daylight savings. The plum tree is full of noisy chatterings from lots of Common mynas[3] and a few starlings[4], and we see a few Spotted dove[5] sunning themselves on the path or up in the branches. Such a shame that so many of the species and the majority of the individuals are all introduced pests
