There was me thinking I might find some interesting thing alive today that wasn't one of the seemingly endless flocks of Little corellas[1] that I've been seeing for the past week. It was not to be. Despite a longer than usual ride this afternoon, and certainly faster than usual on the way home, the wildlife of the day was a huge flock of Little corellas digging up grass roots on the sports ovals alongside the bike path. Too busy pedalling and keeping up with some faster riders to stop for a look around in the wetlands. Then when I got home, at the other end of the size spectrum were large spiralling clouds of winged ants, some flying around the front garden, some around the back, all brought out by the warmth and humidity
