Welcome to Freedom Cells

Hello, welcome to our document section. In this introduction, we hope to enlighten those who are not yet familiar with the concept of Freedom Cells. Freedom Cells are APOLITICAL, VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION groups of individuals who adhere to the PRINCIPLE OF NON-AGRESSION. We are individuals with converging goals, seeking to build a better world and future for ourselves and others, correcting past mistakes that have led us to where we are now. The Freedom Cells concept emerged in the United States in 2013 and has been successful in bringing people together, building/strengthening/protecting communities, stopping unjust laws and police violence, and assisting in the practice of guerrilla gardening.

Freedom Cells arise as a response to growing tyranny, whether from governments or large corporations. We understand that most of the "solutions" presented by these not only do not work, but in most cases make the problems worse. The political class consistently disappoints its electorate, time and time again, whether they are left, right, center, or "populist" movements. The problem is inherent in the hierarchical political systems that any of these designations represent. Centralization is clearly not working, which is why the concept of Freedom Cells is based on decentralization and horizontal structures, which we will address in the next section.

Ideally, cells are not supposed to have leaders (to prevent them from becoming the above), although meritocracy is still valued (multiple "leaders" in various areas). Each member contributes what they can. This can be skills, knowledge and resources, but most of all, dedication, time and love.

Where to start?

First, register at Freedomcells.org (use an ALIAS if you prefer) and try to get in touch with people near you (see member map). For security and privacy reasons, you are advised NOT to give your home address - try putting a nearby city or region where you are. Get in touch with people and see if it's possible to meet, exchange messages or make a video call. Share tasks, set goals and try to add more people to your team. Be persistent and self-motivated - that's how things start to happen. ;)

Once you get a handful of people (preferably in your immediate vicinity), be on the lookout for infiltration and/or unbalanced people that can disrupt or put you in a bad situation. You now have an "inner cadre", the basic measure of the Freedom Cells concept. In a study done by John David Garcia and Bob Podolsky in 2005, later published in book form (Creative Transformation: A Practical Guide for Maximizing Creativity), they found that 8 people is the optimal number for a group to be as creative as possible, and that creativity is one of the most important attributes that an individual and/or group can have. This is not a rule and definitely not mandatory, but we advise that the "inner cadre" should consist of 7 to 9 members, less may mean little dynamism and more may lead to a scattering of themes.

From Freedomcells.org: "In the beginning, small groups can work together to achieve goals, such as ensuring every member has access to spare food, encrypted communications, a security plan (having a safe place for anyone who needs to escape), and making sure all participants have access to means of defense. Meanwhile, cell members make themselves available to provide mutual aid within their "tribe" in any way possible. The groups then begin to encourage the creation of other small groups, while existing cells organize themselves into larger decentralized groups. Like the small groups, the larger ones also have the goal of securing the collective sovereignty of the group members through peaceful resistance and the creation of alternative institutions. By building alternative support networks, such as local production networks, health services, mutual defense groups, peer-to-peer economies, and communication networks, Freedom Cells will be able to disconnect and disassociate themselves from state institutions that they do not consider worthy of their support. Once the groups become large enough in numbers, it becomes possible for participants to come out en masse and secure their freedom themselves."
