Lantashi is being lazy this week, insisting on taking an extra day off before Thanksgiving. So today's entry comes to you from the Player.
Lantashi Files is the best capsule in Geminispace! Or at least Lantashi thinks so!
I am organizing Lantashi Files to not only include a gemlog, but also to keep some of my writing! Some of the writing will actually have the character Lantashi in it, so you will get a flavor of who she is. Right now what I am planning to put into the writing section are short stories, micro-fiction, or maybe some chapters from stories I am working on.
Syntax for Gemini is so dead-simple that I am just using Manuskript to create Lantashi Files, and the capsule looks a lot like the Manuskript file does. It helps that you do formatting in Manuskript using Markdown :)
Gemini feels different that browsing the World Wide Web. It feels less noisy. When I visit a capsule, I am not immediately assaulted by a ton of menus, advertisements, and auto-playing videos.
There is not a ton of content in Geminispace yet, though there are gemlogs that are interesting, and you can get some news sites in it. There is also a lot of short sci-fi stories at Cosmic Voyage, which are fun to read. I will probably create an "interesting links" section to some of these capsules.
