I was supposed to be leaving for a backpacking trip with a couple of my friends from church this morning. However, upon waking up with a clogged nose and chest congestion, my plans were changed. I'll probably just lay in my sleeping bag at home in order to get the experience. I will say this though, I wasn't looking forward to the sleeping situation too much :JOY: I was going to be sleeping in my hammock as opposed to sleeping in a tent with the other guys. The tent would've made me too warm. And for those of you who know, sleeping a full night in a hammock isn't the easiest thing. You have to kind of get used to it in order to make it work, and I haven't slept in a hammock in a couple years.
I was mainly looking forward to just getting to know these men more and spend some quality time together. Talk about God, life, and maybe even sing some hymns in the dark around the fire. But oh well. Lord willing, there will always be another opportuinity.
